What minimum order quantity applies to private label pet food production?

Minimum order quantities are agreed per format and recipe. As a full-scale wet pet food manufacturer we typically work in full production runs measured in pallets and containers, which allows retailers and distributors to secure competitive landed costs on canned, pouch and tray products.

Which wet pet food formats can Mackle Petfoods manufacture?

Our Northern Ireland facilities produce canned dog food and cat food, foil trays, chunk-in-jelly and chunk-in-gravy recipes, loaf and pâté textures, grain-free and natural formulations, plus multipack configurations for retail shelf.

How long does a new private label project take?

A typical private label programme moves from initial brief to first production in around 12 to 20 weeks, covering recipe development, nutritional sign-off against FEDIAF guidelines, packaging artwork approval, shelf-life validation and a factory trial run.

Do you export pet food outside the United Kingdom and Ireland?

Yes. Mackle Petfoods supplies grocery retailers, importers and specialist pet distributors across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and further afield, with export documentation, label localisation and container planning handled by our commercial team.

How is quality and food safety controlled?

Every batch is traced from raw material intake through cooking, sterilisation, seam integrity checks and finished-goods release. Our quality team operates HACCP-based controls, in-house laboratory testing and third-party audits, and recipes are formulated to meet FEDIAF nutritional guidelines.
